My Story
Many couples come to me after seeing other therapists, where they experienced judgment and unethical advice to divorce. My approach is different. I practice the gold standard of couples counseling, EFT, grounded in attachment science, which is the science demonstrating God's true design for loving marriages and relationships. I provide a compassionate and faith-based environment where we work on strengthening your bond and addressing challenges, ensuring you receive the professional support and guidance needed to heal, grow, and see effective change happen.
Growing up in the church with an active faith in God, I believed in the power of unconditional love and never thought I would experience the pain of divorce. I have unfortunately experienced the pain and brokenness of divorce. One of the most difficult aspects to face was the value conflict with my spiritual upbringing. As I learned to heal and forgive myself, I also learned that I was not doomed or condemned. I learned that I didn't walk around with a big sign over my head that broadcasted the word "divorced" or "failure".
Through my own healing journey in therapy and through becoming a Certified EFT Supervisor and Therapist, I finally learned what was driving the negative patterns in my life and relationship choices and was able to break them effectively and finally find redemption for my love story.
I thank God every day for leading me to this beautiful model of counseling known as Emotionally Focused Therapy. The growth and healing I have experienced through EFT has transformed me both professionally and personally, and helped me connect more deeply to the kind of love God designed for us to have in marriage. Most importantly, it helped me become a healthier, best version of myself and helped me better identify and a healthy romantic partner.
